Day of Yoga

Welcome!

• Enter a safe and welcoming space where you can relax!

• Begin the day with a cup of coffee/tea as you mingle or quietly stroll in an open field

• We'll meet on blankets in a yoga circle to center

Yoga: Gentle Flow (Vinyasa-Style)

• Afterwards, we'll enter the Menage (sand in front of the horse fields) for a gentle vinyasa to softly wake up the body

Breakfast

• A light & satisfying Breakfast* follows

Meditative Walk

• After breakfast, we'll offer time to stroll on paths along the fields; providing meditative prompts & reflections. You might even want to journal any insights gained.

Yoga: Slow Flow

• A slow flow designed to allow releasing/shedding will follow

Free Time:

• Live sound bowl music will accompany free time to use as you wish - complimentary chair massages & body assessments available

Lunch:

• A Mediterranean style late Lunch* will satisfy your hunger before we head into a

Yoga Nidra:

• IAM Yoga Nidra meditation designed to allow you to Shed & Shine as your true BEing

Closing Circle:

• While we will end the day in the same location where we began, in a closing circle on the blankets, we trust you'll leave feeling centered and calm; rested & recharged to Shine as the beautiful person you are!

FAQs:

Q: What do I need to bring?

A: Your yoga mat and any optional props you like to use such as straps, blocks, yoga blanket, eye pillow, etc.

You will also want to bring a water bottle & comfortable walking shoes.

Q: What if I don't have any yoga equipment?

A: Don't let that stop you from coming! Let us know ahead of time. We have a limited number of yoga props avail. at no extra charge.

Q: What if I've never practiced yoga before?

A: Come anyway! This is an all levels yoga retreat. Yoga is a practice, not a performance! We'll help newbies modify as needed and experts challenge themselves.

Q: Is this yoga retreat open to all people?

A: Yes! All people 13+ years old. Minors must be accompanied by a retreat-registered paying adult.

Q: What if I have certain health conditions that limit how much I can do?

A: You know your body and will need to be responsible to not go beyond what is good for it. We'll offer modifications, but please modify and/or skip a pose if it's not good for your body. Yoga is a practice in honoring what you need - including in how you take the poses. :-)

Q: Where will we practice yoga on the farm?

A. We will practice yoga in the Menage (the sand ring). You might want to bring a blanket for under your mat if you don't want it to be directly on the sand.

Q: Will we be interacting with the horses on the property?

A: Not directly. They will be in their respective fields. In the off chance of terrible weather, an older horse might be moved into a barn stall. We'd be practicing yoga in the barn walkway, if weather isn't favorable.

Q: What if it rains?

A: We'll hold the retreat in the barn. Instead of a mediative walk, we might offer longer massages. :-)

Q: Does the barn smell like animals?

A: Honestly, we didn't think so. The barn is and will be very clean.

Q: What food will be provided?

A: We suggest you eat breakfast before you come, but there will be coffee/tea and light snacks available upon arrival.

We will serve a straight-forward breakfast (think yogurt parfaits and fruit, hard-boiled eggs) mid-morning and a Mediterranean lunch mid-afternoon (think assemble your own bowl with hummus, raw veggies, shredded chicken, salad, etc.). There will be a sweet treat post lunch.

Q: I have a special diet.

A: We will have vegan, dairy-free, and gluten-free options available. Contact us if you have further questions.

Q: What drinks will be provided?

A: We will provide coffee, tea, water, orange juice, lemonade, and iced tea.

Q: Will there be a place to put a coat, keys, etc.?

A: There will be a room in the barn to put those things in.

Q: I have prescription medicine that needs to be chilled. Can you accommodate?

A: There is a refrigerator in the barn.

Q: What are the restroom facilities like?

A: There is a nice 1/2 bath in the barn.

Q: What is the cell phone guidance?

A: We suggest you leave your cell phone in the coat room for the day. Allow yourself to be fully present in order to reap the benefits.

Q: What about alcohol, vaping, recreational drugs?

A: We ask that you refrain from all of the above during this day of yoga in order to fully reap the benefits of resetting your nervous system. We may ask you to leave if you are under the influence and it's disruptive to the other participants.

Q: What happens after I sign up?

A: We will send you an electronic intake form and a waiver to complete before the retreat. We'll also send a more detailed schedule, list of things to bring, etc. For your convenience, click the button to complete the intake form.

Q: What is the cancelation policy?

A: We understand plans change! There is a $50 non-refundable deposit upon any cancelation.

If you need to withdraw within 14 days of the retreat, we'll refund 75% of the remainder after the deposit (e.g., You paid $250. We'd refund 75% of $200).

Within 13 and 7 days of the retreat: 50% of the remainder after the deposit.

Within 6 and 3 days of the retreat: 25% of the remainder after the deposit.

Less than 3 days of the retreat: No refunds.
